Dominique et Stéphane - Vos hôtes
We, Dominique and Stéphane , spent 30 years together in a large pharmaceutical company in Lyon. Tired of working for shareholders, we then considered for a long time a professional reconversion to give a (different) meaning to our lives. In September 2019, we took the big leap!
This idea of gîtes in the Landes had been on our minds for many years, constantly renewed during each of our stays in the Landes. It is a project of life together, but also of return to the country for Dominique, native of the Landes, and of family tradition for Stéphane who has always spent his holidays there. But we still had to find the place that lent itself to it!
After searching for more than a decade, we found in the Pays d'Orthe et Arrigans an old farm typical of Bas-Adour, doomed to abandonment: Les Eyres.
Its tranquility, its preserved environment, but close to the coast, convinced us to adopt it. But the old Landes house was in bad shape. Major renovation work was undertaken, according to the principles of ecological renovation. The construction site was long, very long, much longer than we had anticipated. After 2 1/2 years of work, in June 2022, the house is finally ready to welcome you.
And today, it is with renewed pleasure that we will welcome you to the Maison des Eyres to help you discover our beautiful Kiwi Valley.
